The Chicago International Quilt Festival was a GREAT show this year!

Loads of People came to see the quilts and do a little shopping… maybe a LOT of shopping!

Frist stop was at Freida Anderson’s booth. Frieda uses 50 weight Aurifil thread in all her pojects.. either top and bottom, or just in the bobbin for perfect stitch tension.  I LOVE her bright cheery colors!

Edtya Sitar had a beautiful booth of her work. She has an amazing use of Batiks and non batiks.

Over to Bigfork Bay Cotton Company  where the use of Aufil in every project gives you a great idea of how it looks stitched up!  Here is their display of 50wt… which has been greatly depleted by the time I got there to take photos!

50 Weight used to applique/quilt at the same time, what a fun fast way to get a project done!

And the Lana Wool on their new series of wool quilt patterns.

Plus the booth was so full of great project you just HAD to go in and look!

Visti them online or catch them at a show! http://www.bigforkbaycottonco.com/

Elvira Illig is a long arm quilter from Illinois that had one of her quilts using Aurifil thread hanging in the show!… I just love her quilt!
