While we don’t have a curated collection for Batiks Go Retro, we were thrilled to see that the colors line up well with Tammy’s Coastal Mist collection, released last year.

We pulled a few prints from Batiks Go Retro and partnered them with a few spools from the Coastal Mist thread collection to show you just how well they all match!

L to R: 50wt – 2562, 2568 & 12wt – 2405, 4225, 2420, 4030

L to R: 12wt – 4026, 4093 & 50wt – 1148, 2845

L to R: 12wt – 4093 & 50wt – 1148, 2845

We love when this type of coordination happens — if you love Batiks and you’re a fan of Tammy’s designs, Coastal Mist is a perfect buy… colors to coordinate with two lovely ranges of colors and prints!

  1. I remember this interview and her beautiful quilts. I was in love with them and it inspired me to start a new batik quilt in colors like one of her quilts in that interview in honor of my dad who just passed away last month who loved gardening and color, this quilt is for him and I am giving it to my mom. I also remember that interview because my I commented on it as well and afterward I noticed my phone turned quilt into “wuilt” every single time I typed it. Lol. I need to get more Aurifil thread to match and I am ordering some of these amazing batiks. So beautiful.

    • Thank you so much for sharing this with us! My phone does that too! How lovely that you’re creating a quilt in honor of your dad — we’re so sorry for your loss, but have no doubt that your mom will love having such a hearfelt tribute, handmade by you. Good luck and happy stitching!

  2. Another great article about an artist. Love that colors from one collection can be used in/with the next! Love the hop, batiks are favorites.
