Today we are excited to share the second block in the Threadology Charity Quilt Along hosted by our friends at Fat Quarter Shop! We are over the moon that they have already reached their goal of raising $10,000 for Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas. ❤ They have now added a stretch goal of $20,000! Our very own Social Media Coordinator, Hilary Jordan will be sewing along and sharing progress here on the Auribuzz.

For our version of the quilt, Hilary decided to use the gorgeous quilt kit that has been put together by Fat Quarter Shop. It features Little Snippets fabric collection by Bonnie & Camille for Moda Fabrics. Rather sew your stash? You can find the fabric requirements HERE and pull fabrics to make the quilt your own!

We adore that the Threadology quilt is made up of traditional quilt blocks that are quick and easy to stitch together… but don’t go too quick if you’re using the white on white fabric for your background. The front and back look very similar when chain piecing quickly 😉 the seam ripper had to be used for this block.

Like many of their quilt alongs and free patterns Fat Quarter Shop created video tutorials for each of the Threadology blocks. Here is the video tutorial for the Nine Patch block.

Are you sewing along with the Threadology Quilt Along? Be sure to visit Fat Quarter Shop and enter to win one of the custom Threadology spool kits with three small spools of Aurifil inside!

  1. Congratulations to The Fat Quarter Shop and all the people involved in this project. So awesome! Would have loved to join in but hand surgery has put me out of commission. Will enjoy following and seeing all the beautiful quilt.
